Morr & Co is pleased to announce the appointment of Dennis Phillips as Partner in its Private Client team.

Dennis specialises in multi-jurisdictional estates, with particular expertise in international property and succession matters in Spanish law. His appointment enhances our ability to guide clients through complex cross-border legal challenges.

Dennis qualified in 2002 and is one of a handful of English-trained solicitors with deep expertise in cross-border private client law.

Dennis advises on administration of estates in SpainWill writing for Spanish estates  and lifetime transfers of Spanish property. He regularly handles the administration of Spanish assets bequeathed to UK charities, where additional procedural steps are often required. Working collaboratively with trusted professionals in both the UK and Spain, he ensures matters progress smoothly and efficiently, minimising delay and unnecessary tax exposure.

He works collaboratively with trusted professionals in both the UK and Spain, ensuring matters progress smoothly whilst ensuring efficiency in the administration and unnecessary tax exposure.

His practice also encompasses capacity-related matters, helping clients plan ahead with appropriate Powers of Attorney and navigate complex cross-border recognition when capacity is lost.

His practical understanding of how the Spanish and UK legal systems interact enables pragmatic, cost-effective solutions where reciprocal recognition can otherwise become prohibitive.

Catherine Fisher, Managing Partner at Morr & Co, comments:

Dennis’s appointment reflects our commitment to providing expert guidance on the increasingly complex legal challenges our clients face. His cross-border expertise will be invaluable to families and individuals managing property and estates across jurisdictions.

Holly Chantler, Head of Private Client, added:

We’re delighted to welcome Dennis to the team. His specialist knowledge and collaborative approach align perfectly with our values, and his arrival strengthens our ability to support clients with international estates and property matters.

Dennis joins Morr & Co as the firm strengthens its international Private Client offering, reflecting the growing demand for cross-border expertise.
