Holly Chantler is Partner and Head of Morr & Co’s Private Client and Court of Protection teams. She leads a team of approximately 50 specialists across seven offices, advising individuals, families, professional advisers and charities on a wide range of private client and Court of Protection matters. A solicitor and Notary Public, Holly has over 20 years’ experience advising on wills, trusts, estate administration, powers of attorney, tax planning and Court of Protection matters. She specialises in capacity law, including the safeguarding and protection of older and vulnerable adults. Holly acts as deputy, attorney, guardian, executor and trustee for clients and families across England and Wales. Holly is a qualified Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), a Court of Protection Panel Deputy and Panel Guardian and holds STEP’s Advanced Certificate in Advising Vulnerable Clients. She is a Director and member of the Association of Lifetime Lawyers and a Founding Director and member of the Professional Deputies Forum. She is widely recognised as a leading practitioner in her field and serves on the Court of Protection Rules Committee, which helps shape the rules, practice directions and procedures of the Court of Protection. Alongside her client work, Holly is a Director of Lifetime Lawyers (formerly Solicitors for the Elderly) and a founding co-Director of the Professional Deputies Forum, representing professional deputies and their teams across England and Wales. Holly’s expertise has been recognised nationally. She was named ‘Private Client Lawyer of the Year’ at the Modern Law Private Client Awards 2026 and received the ‘Outstanding Achievement in the Industry’ Award at the Probate Industry Awards in both 2025 and 2026. She has written A Practical Guide to Assessing Mental Capacity and A Practical Guide to the Court of Protection, contributed to the Law Society Older Client Handbook and Finance & Law for the Older Client and is the author of the Encyclopaedia of Forms and Precedents: Powers of Attorney. She has also authored two further Court of Protection publications and regularly delivers training and lectures to legal professionals nationwide.
