Morr & Co is proud to announce that the firm has been shortlisted in four categories at this year’s Surrey Legal Services Awards, hosted by the Surrey Law Society.

The nominations recognise both individual and team achievements across the firm, including:

  • Lawyer of the Year – Natalie Payne, Private Client
  • Lawyer of the Year – Chris Zahner, Residential Property
  • Employer of the Year
  • Employment Law Team of the Year
  • Private Client Team of the Year

Established in 2018, the Surrey Legal Services Awards continue to celebrate the outstanding work of legal professionals and firms across the county, recognising excellence, innovation and impact within the legal sector.

Among the categories, Lawyer of the Year honours individuals who have demonstrated exceptional legal expertise, client service and professional contribution. Employer of the Year showcases firms that create a positive, inclusive workplace culture and are committed to staff development and wellbeing.

The Employment Law Team of the Year award highlights teams that deliver strategic advice and exceptional outcomes in employment-related matters and the Private Client Team of the Year recognises teams providing outstanding support in areas such as wills, probate, estate planning and trusts, often navigating sensitive and complex personal issues with care and professionalism.

Catherine Fisher, Managing Partner at Morr & Co, commented:

It’s a real honour to see the efforts of our teams and individuals highlighted by the Surrey Law Society. Natalie Payne and Chris Zahner are both outstanding lawyers who bring not only technical excellence but also compassion and clarity to their client work – it’s fantastic to see their contributions acknowledged. Our Employment and Private Client teams consistently go above and beyond to support clients through often complex and sensitive matters, while our Employer of the Year nomination reflects the positive culture our HR team have built across the firm. These nominations are a testament to the depth of talent, care and commitment we see across every part of Morr & Co and I’m incredibly proud of everyone involved.

This year’s winners will be announced at a black-tie gala dinner on Thursday 16 October at G Live in Guildford.
