We are proud to announce our partnership with SignLive, a revolutionary video relay service designed to assist Deaf clients in aiding communication with ease and confidence.

For many individuals, accessing legal services can be quite daunting. For some Deaf individuals, this can be even more overwhelming due to communication barriers.

Traditional consultations with lawyers often rely heavily on spoken communication, for example, many meetings will take place on the telephone, via video conferencing or in-person. This can make it difficult for Deaf clients to fully engage in discussions regarding critical personal legal matters.

SignLive - BSL

How does SignLive work?

SignLive offers a seamless solution to these barriers by enabling real-time communication through British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters via video relay.

The BSL interpreter facilitates communication between the client and the legal professional to ensure that their voice is heard. It is completely secure and confidential. SignLive is accessible on smartphones, tablets and computers, making it easy for Deaf clients to consult with legal professionals remotely or in person at our offices.

Our commitment to accessibility

Personal law often involves sensitive and life-altering decisions, whether drafting a Will or lasting power of attorney, moving house or navigating family law hurdles. It is therefore crucial that clients fully understand their legal rights and options.

We believe everyone deserves fair and accessible legal services. By integrating SignLive with our services, we hope to help Deaf clients make informed decisions with confidence.

Looking ahead

The partnership with SignLive marks a significant milestone in Morr & Co’s mission to provide equitable legal services for all. The firm encourages Deaf clients and those in the Deaf community to take advantage of this service and experience legal consultations in a more accessible and inclusive way.

This is the first step in our drive to make legal support more inclusive.
