Mel is a highly experienced Employment Law Partner who guides both employers and employees through complex workplace matters.

Over a period spanning in excess of 25 years Mel has advised and represented a diverse range of employees and employers across multiple sectors and industries on matters touching on the full spectrum of employment law.

Whilst Mel has particular experience of representing clients in either pursuing or defending claims up to and including Trial in the Employment Tribunal and on occasion in the Employment Appeal Tribunal he is also dedicated to advising clients on how best to avoid or manage difficult situations so as to minimise costs and disruption.

Mel’s approach and that of the broader team he leads is to invest the time and effort required in really getting to know our clients, their business and the issues they face. The resulting understanding and familiarity enable us to better fuse our expert employment law advice with a commercial insight which is also aligned to the needs and culture of the business.

Mel is also recognised for his guile and expertise in advising managers and senior Executives on negotiating and securing optimum terms on termination of their employment.
