Kellie is a highly experienced Dispute Resolution Partner who specialises in contentious probate matters and complex business disputes. Kellie started and has led Morr & Co’s Dispute Resolution team to win ‘Best Contentious Probate Provider’ at the Probate Industry Awards 2024 and finalist in the same category in 2026. The team is also ranked for ‘Private Client: Contentious Trusts and Probate (South East)’ in the Legal 500 UK 2026 Guide. Having worked in dispute resolution since 2004, she has more than 20 years’ experience acting in complex and often highly personal disputes involving estates, trusts, family wealth and businesses. Her wider commercial litigation experience includes shareholder and director conflicts and partnership disputes, giving her particular insight where inheritance, family relationships, business and property interests overlap. Kellie’s approach to private wealth disputes is shaped by the observation that inheritance disputes are rarely created by a single legal document. They develop where family relationships, expectations, wealth, ownership and evidence begin to diverge. Her work therefore extends beyond challenges to Wills and trusts and disputes arising during their administration. She also works alongside families and their professional advisers before death where there is a foreseeable risk of future dispute. By seeing how arrangements are later scrutinised in litigation, Kellie is able to identify the fault lines that can make an estate vulnerable to challenge – from modern family structures and unequal inheritances to capacity concerns, lifetime gifts, informal promises, family businesses and competing expectations between generations. Where conflict has already developed, Kellie combines detailed technical knowledge and courtroom experience with a practical and strategic approach. She places particular importance on giving clients clear advice and strategic direction, making sure clients understand not only their legal position, but the choices available to them, the risks and costs attached to each and the decisions that may ultimately shape the outcome.
