Jessica Jarvis

Senior Associate Solicitor

Court of Protection

Jessica is a specialist Court of Protection solicitor in Surrey who supports individuals and families with deputyships, personal injury trusts and mental capacity legal matters.

Jessica works with individuals and families assisting with the long-term legal management of financial and property affairs where mental capacity may be affected.

With nearly a decade of experience, Jessica understands that her work often begins where personal injury or clinical negligence claims conclude. She helps families put the right structures in place to protect compensation awards through deputyships, personal injury trusts, and the careful management of periodical payments.

Jessica advises across a wide spectrum of life stages and needs, working closely with families of children who have sustained life-changing injuries and require ongoing support with complex care and financial arrangements. She also supports minor clients who may have capacity at 18, helping them and their families plan for that transition and manage their awards with confidence. Her work continues into adulthood, advising clients with mental health needs or neurodivergent profiles, and those navigating capacity-related challenges later in life, including dementia and degenerative conditions.

She is regularly instructed in sensitive and high-risk cases, including those involving safeguarding concerns or suspected financial abuse, and frequently acts on referrals from the Office of the Public Guardian. Jessica has a calm, compassionate approach and works collaboratively with families, case managers, deputies, and professionals to ensure every client receives support tailored to their circumstances.
