My role & experience
I am an associate in the family team. I qualified in September 2006 and previously worked for two Legal 500 firms in Central London. I like to take a constructive approach on my cases with a focus in early settlement if possible but if necessary I can call on significant litigation experience.
My specific experience
I regularly act in medium and high net worth cases. I have experience in dealing with freezing injunctions, interim maintenance applications, enforcement and variation applications and joinder of 3rd party interveners and I often deal with cases involving complex company and pension assets.
I also have experience in advising on cohabitee disputes and financial claims under Schedule 1 of the Children Act.
I have acted in a number of complex child arrangements disputes involving children with complex needs, allegations of harm and the instruction of experts.
My area of expertise
I have practical experience in all areas of family law but specialise in financial issues arising from separation and issues relating to arrangements for children ( formerly known as residence and contact).
My involvement with the community and associations
I am a Member of Resolution (formerly Solicitors Family Law Association) and I am a Resolution accredited specialist in Financial matters and Domestic Violence.
I am also an accredited mediator having trained with Resolution and obtained accreditation for all issues mediation through the Family Mediation Council. My accreditation means that I am able to conduct Mediation Information and Assessment Meetings (MIAMs).
Something you may not know
Anne grew up in Ireland and as a child her (excellent) tea making skills once landed her in the local paper.
“It was a really scary time for me, having been ambushed with the news that no husband or father would ever want to hear. Anne McAllister was fantastic and made me feel a lot more protected than I feared I would be. She provided really good advice and dealt with every one of my concerns in a patient and methodical manner. Thank you so much, you made a difficult situation so much more bearable by being in my corner throughout.”
