Kristine Ng advocates for Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion at the Property Litigation Association Panel Discussion

We’re excited to share that Kristine Ng, a Partner at Morr & Co, recently participated as a panellist at the Property Litigation Association’s Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (ED&I) event.

Her insightful discussion focused on the vital need for greater diversity and inclusion in the legal profession.

Kristine brought her expertise to the forefront, addressing the significant challenges related to ED&I that legal professionals face.

She shared her own definition of what ED&I means and shared her personal motivations for championing these initiatives, emphasising the importance of actively recruiting from underrepresented communities.

A standout moment in Kristine’s talk was her candid discussion about ‘imposter syndrome’, which often affects individuals from diverse backgrounds.

She encouraged those experiencing self-doubt to embrace their unique perspectives and recognise their value in the field. Reflecting on her own career, Kristine acknowledged the hurdles posed by a lack of ED&I awareness in her early years.

Representing Morr & Co, Kristine highlighted the firm’s strong commitment to equality through its robust Equality and Diversity Policy, which ensures a fair and inclusive workplace.

She emphasised the proactive measures Morr & Co takes in recruitment, especially at the junior level, to promote best practices in ED&I.

Kristine also stressed that prioritising ED&I enhances workplace culture and improves client service, arguing that these principles should be woven into every aspect of legal practice.

Her contributions at the PLA’s event not only showcased her professional insights but also highlighted Morr & Co’s dedication to leading by example in fostering diversity and inclusion.

As part of our ongoing commitment, Morr & Co implements comprehensive training and monitoring to ensure accountability in our ED&I efforts. The firm’s leadership continues to work diligently to create a culture where every employee feels valued and empowered.

Kristine Ng’s participation at the Property Litigation Association Conference underscores the critical role of diversity and inclusion in shaping the future of the legal profession.

At Morr & Co, we remain dedicated to nurturing an environment that values diverse perspectives and promotes equitable opportunities for all.
