Today (29 July 2015), the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has published draft guidelines in respect of end of life care, following the abolition of the Liverpool Care Pathway last year.
The guidelines will help medical practitioners identify when someone is entering their final days of life and also provides guidance about the management of the person’s needs during this time.
