Senior Corporate Lawyer We are a highly regarded Corporate team with a strong reputation for delivering excellent, bespoke advice to our clients. We provide a wide range of corporate legal services and pride ourselves on building long-term relationships with our clients, many of whom are SMEs, owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs, and family-run companies. We are now seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Corporate Lawyer with 7+ years of post-qualification experience and a strong, existing network to join our expanding team. About the Role As a Senior Corporate Lawyer, you will play a leading role in advising clients and your responsibilities will include: Mergers and Acquisitions: Advising on and managing share and asset transactions, from initial structuring to post-completion. Company Reorganisations: Including demergers, group restructures, and capital reductions. Corporate Governance: Advising on directors’ duties, compliance, and corporate governance frameworks. Shareholder and Partnership Agreements: Drafting and negotiating agreements to reflect bespoke client requirements. Joint Ventures: Structuring and negotiating joint ventures for diverse business objectives. Business Start-Ups: Advising on legal structures, funding arrangements, and early-stage documentation. Corporate Finance: Supporting clients in fundraising and refinancing initiatives. Commercial Contracts: Advising on and drafting key business agreements, such as supply contracts, terms and conditions, and collaboration agreements. What We’re Looking For We are seeking an experienced and client-focused lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced and varied practice. The ideal candidate will have: Technical Excellence: A strong track record in corporate law, particularly in M&A and other key areas relevant to SMEs. Client Relationship Skills: Proven ability to build trusted relationships with owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurial clients. Leadership and Mentoring: Experience in supervising junior staff and contributing to team development. Commercial Awareness: Understanding of regional business needs and the ability to offer practical, commercially astute advice. Skills and Attributes Outstanding drafting and negotiation skills. The ability to manage multiple transactions and competing deadlines with a pragmatic and solution-focused approach. A collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
