Every dog has its day… at the Wimbledon Guild Village Fair

On Saturday 17th June, a team from our Wimbledon office made their way down to the Common to support the annual Wimbledon Guild Village Fair as sponsors of the ‘Fun Dog Show Arena’.

Families and friends showed up in abundance to enjoy a day out in the blistering 30 degree heat at the largest outdoor event in South London, which has something for everyone!

Amongst the food villages, shopping areas, children’s zones and special performances, our stall could be found in prime position at the dog show arena with free giveaways for everyone. The children were particularly keen to get involved in playing our ‘hook a duck’ game for a chance to win various prizes (it’s not as easy as it sounds).

With the heat starting to take its toll on both the owners and their pets, our free Morrisons bandannas went down a treat, which we dipped in water to cool them down and we threw in some free dog biscuits for good measure.

Congratulations again to the winner of the ‘dog in best fancy dress’ competition that we had the pleasure of judging. Through the mist of Hawaiian shirts, superman capes and a dog dressed as Belle from Beauty and the Beast, it was Goldilocks and the three bears that came out on top. Enjoy the Morrisons crate packed full of goodies for the family.

We were very proud to support the Wimbledon Guild through sponsorship of an excellent and well organised event and all for such a worthwhile cause which provides practical help for people in crisis. It was great to interact and have a chat to so many people who came over to our stall and we hope you all enjoyed the day as much as we did.
